Château de Balleroy - A Symmetry of Purpose

Château de Balleroy
Château de Balleroy was built in 1631 by the celebrated architect François Mansart (1598-1666) at the request of Jean de Choisy. The main house and it's surrounding buildings are one of the first urban plans that inspired other chateaux, including Versailles.

In 1970, Malcolm S. Forbes acquired the Château de Balleroy which was then fully restored and refurbished. And the chateau, to my knowledge, remains in the hand of the Forbes family.
