Artfully framed accessorizing for the sophisticated woman in-lieu of parasols…

In the 1700′s,  parasols evolved into women fashion,  and they were designed and decorated to match each promenade dress or walking suit. Parasols were clearly defined as a sunshade, and was not made for rain or snow.  The Victorian era ushered in parasols  with ostentatious adornments,  so much so, if a dress had bows or flounces, the parasol was adorned with the same decoration.  While the  wealthy used parasols as a day-to-day accoutrements, the less wealthy  used them for church, or Sunday afternoon strolls in the gardens or parks.

Fashionably now, however, parasols have been replaced by jeweled timepieces, sandals, and sunglasses for a stroll along Madison Avenue.

Here are few artfully framed items for such a stroll:

Atame Cerisier and Lotus are from the collection of luxury timepieces for the sophisticated women by DeLaneau.

DeLaneau was founded in 1949 by the couple Rolf and Yolanda Tschudin.  They became renowned for creating exceptional jewellery timepieces for private clients and elite collectors. Prestigious jewellers of Geneva and Place Vendôme, Paris, counted on their outstanding craftsmanship. And in no time, their distinctive, colourful and exclusive creations simply stood out in the world of jewellery watchmaking.
  • Atame Cerisier "Winter" (see the "Summer" here) - is a  white gold case set with 126 baguette-cut diamonds, 79 diamonds, 4 black diamonds and onyx. The crown is set with black diamond. "Cerisier - Winter" has Grand Feu enamel dial.  It has automatic movement with Nubuck strap with white gold double tongue buckle set with 36 diamonds.
  • Atame Lotus -  is a  white gold case set with 30 baguette-cut diamonds, 291 diamonds and 4 diamond cabochons. The crown is set with diamond. "Lotus"  has Grand Feu enamel dial.  It has automatic movement with alligator strap with white gold double tongue buckle set with 36 diamonds.
To advance this string of thought, we playfully contrasted these artfully appointed jeweled watches with a simplicity embolden sandal from Prada  - the Jeweled Double-Strap.

On a Sunday walk  in Madison Avenue,  for adoring and protecting ones eyes from the sun,  we suggest a combination of Atame Lotus, the Prada Jeweled Double-Strap sandals, and Panthere Wild de Cartier sunglasses from Cartier as a definite.

Happy Sunday!
