Château du Champ de Bataille is owned by Jacques Garcia, who unquestionably is the first among others I have drawn inspirations from over the years. The château, which is about an hour drive from Paris in the Norman countryside, serves as his weekend home as well as museum that house his extensive collections.
Monsieur Garcia bought Château du Champ de Bataille in 1992, and spend more than 15 year renovating largely the interiors.
Much has been written about Jacques Garcia, and so, I will let the pictures tell the stories about Château du Champ de Bataille for now, and I have more to say about Monsieur Garcia and his designs in subsequent entries.
When next in Paris, plan a visit to Château du Champ de Bataille; and information about how to tour this castle can be found here.
